Wall Tablet to John Montagu

The wall tablet required surface treatment. Different conservation cleaning techniques were used to remove soiling from different marbles and from the coat of arms. The lettering was in-painted after cleaning of the surface. The dark colour of the black 'marble' was reinstated. A protective layer of wax was applied to the surface with the exception of the polychrome coat of arms.
