The memorial was in pieces and required being fixed to a wall in a newly restored chapel at Compton Verney. After it was fixed to its new location, surface cleaning was undertaken, lettering in-painted and a newly carved alabaster section inserted (as the original was missing). Upon the completion, a protective wax layer was applied to the surface of the wall tablet.
